“I come from a long line of strong Punjabi women who always put family first. Growing up, I watched my mother and grandmothers work tirelessly to create a warm and welcoming home for our large family. They instilled in us the importance of our culture and Sikh faith, and the power of community. Today, I strive to carry on their legacy.
Our faith has been a guiding light through all of life’s ups and downs. Our gurdwara, or Sikh temple, has always been a second home to us. It’s where we gather with our community to pray, to celebrate, and to help those in need.
I truly believe that people are inherently good, and that we all have the power to make a positive impact in the world. I try to do my part by volunteering and giving back whenever I can. Whether it’s cooking for the homeless, donating to charity, or just lending a listening ear to a friend in need, I feel blessed to have the ability to make a difference in someone’s life.
My hope for the future is that we can continue to come together as a community, to support and uplift one another, and to spread love and kindness wherever we go. I believe that no matter what challenges come our way, our faith and our culture will always be a source of strength and inspiration.”
